Von November 2024 bis August 2025 knüpfte BanSenSuk e.V. gemeinsam mit der Stichting Ailine an die erfolgreiche Umweltsensibilisierung in Laos an. In Kooperation mit unserem langjährigen Partner, dem Green Environment Conservation Team (GECT), wurden Nachhaltigkeit, Umweltbewusstsein und Klimaanpassung in neun weiteren Dörfern und Schulen in der Region Luang Prabang gezielt gestärkt.
Zur langfristigen Etablierung umweltfreundlicher Eco-Cycle-Ansätze fanden monatliche Schulungen und praxisnahe Maßnahmen in drei zentralen Handlungsfeldern statt:
- Ernährungssicherheit und Ernährungsbildung: Förderung gesunder, nachhaltiger Ernährung und Stärkung lokaler Lebensmittelsysteme.
- Abfallmanagement und Recycling: Verbesserung der Mülltrennung und des Recyclings, insbesondere von Plastik, sowie Einkommensmöglichkeiten durch Wiederverwertung.
- Umweltschutz und nachhaltige Landwirtschaft: Praxiswissen zu Kompostierung, Boden- und Wasserschutz, klimafreundlichem Anbau und Anpassung an den Klimawandel.
Insgesamt wurden bereits über 50 Schulen und Dörfer sensibilisiert, davon 35 mit dem GREEN SCHOOL– bzw. GREEN VILLAGE-Zertifikat ausgezeichnet. Um problematische Praktiken in der Abfallwirtschaft und ungesunde Nahrungsmittelangebote im schulischen Umfeld nachhaltig zu verändern, setzt GECT konsequent auf Vernetzung und Kooperation.
Ein zentraler Meilenstein ist der Ausbau des Netzwerks „Green Team Luang Prabang“, das Bildungsinstitutionen, Behörden, Unternehmen und NGOs zusammenbringt, um gemeinsame Standards für grüne Schulen und Dörfer zu etablieren.
BanSenSuk e.V. freut sich, als zentraler Partner dieses Netzwerks aktiv dazu beizutragen, nachhaltige Eco-Cycle-Strukturen in den Distrikten – mit dem Ziel einer flächendeckenden Umsetzung in der gesamten Provinz Luang Prabang – zu stärken.

Working Together Towards Eco-Cycle Operations
From November 2024 to August 2025, BanSenSuk e.V., together with Stichting Ailine, built on the successful environmental awareness activities in Laos. In cooperation with our long-standing partner, the Green Environment Conservation Team (GECT), sustainability, environmental awareness, and climate adaptation were further strengthened in nine additional villages and schools in the Luang Prabang region.
To ensure the long-term establishment of environmentally friendly Eco-Cycle approaches, monthly training sessions and practical activities were implemented in three key areas of action:
- Food security and nutrition education: Promoting healthy, sustainable diets and strengthening local food systems.
- Waste management and recycling: Improving waste separation and recycling, particularly of plastics, and creating additional income opportunities through reuse and recycling.
- Environmental protection and sustainable agriculture: Providing practical knowledge on composting, soil and water conservation, climate-friendly farming practices, and climate change adaptation.
Overall, more than 50 schools and villages have already been sensitized, with 35 of them awarded the GREEN SCHOOL or GREEN VILLAGE certificate. To sustainably address problematic waste management practices and unhealthy food environments in and around schools, GECT consistently emphasizes networking and cooperation.
A key milestone is the expansion of the “Green Team Luang Prabang” network, which brings together educational institutions, authorities, businesses, and NGOs to establish common standards for green schools and villages.
BanSenSuk e.V. is pleased to be a core partner of this network and to actively contribute to strengthening sustainable Eco-Cycle structures across the districts, with the goal of achieving province-wide implementation in Luang Prabang.
